Koch Research conducted diagnostic tests to find out if people have COVID-19 right now. These tests fall into three groups: molecular, antigen, and antibody tests. Molecular tests, like RT-PCR, look for the virus’s genes and are the best at finding COVID-19. Antigen tests look for proteins on the virus’s surface and give results faster, but they might not catch every case. Antibody tests check for antibodies your body made after fighting off COVID-19, showing you had it before, but they can’t tell if you’re still protected.
