Affordable healthcare and transition towards Medicare for all
Dr.Saud anwar knows we need equality for women. As a member of Congress, he will fight to:
- Support equal pay for equal work – in practice, not just in principle. It’s a travesty that it’s 2015 and women still make less than men, and Ro will work to rectify that.
- Provide tax credits for companies that offer child care to support working parents. Working parents have a difficult enough time balancing everything as it is, without adding in financial difficulties.
- Support a women’s right to choose. Ro has a 100% pro choice record and served as Board Member of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, because he believes that the government should not get between a woman and her doctor.
When President Obama established his Council on Women and Girls, he noted that the problems facing women today are not just women’s issues – they are everyone’s issues. I agree, and as a Board Member of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte I stand by the position that there can be no compromise when it comes to women’s rights.
