Dr. Saud Anwar is an American physician and politician. He is a member of the Connecticut State Senate and a representative of the 3rd District, which includes the towns of East Hartford, South Windsor, East Windsor, and Ellington.

As a Democratic Party member, Dr. Anwar was previously the mayor of South Windsor, Connecticut, from 2013-2015 and 2017-2019.

With a background in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, along with a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Yale University, Dr. Anwar brings a unique perspective to his role in the Connecticut State Senate.
